Music-lover, philanthropist and financial expert, Bita Cattelan has joined with renowned pianist Mari Kodama to create a new festival in Italy: Tra Luce e Sogno/Between Light and Dreams.
Currently Vice-President of Philanthropy for the WCPD Foundation and WCPD Inc., a boutique financial services firm dedicated to wealth creation, preservation and donation through comprehensive money management solutions, insurance products and specialized tax assisted investments. She has previously held the position of Director of Corporate and Community Relations for DAC Aviation International and DAC JET. She also served as VP Asset Management at Sandalwood Management Canada, a leading Canadian real estate investment firm.
She has extensive volunteer experience, nationally and internationally: Bita is a Member of the Board of Directors of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, Trustee of the McCord Museum Foundation; Chair of the Development & Special Events Committee of the Montreal Bach Festival; Co-Chair of the McCord Museum Foundation Annual Ball Committee; member of the Opera de Montreal Annual Ball Committee as well as of the OSM's Bal des Enfants Honorary Committee.
She also serves on the National Cultural Philanthropic Advisory Council, dedicated to promoting philanthropy for arts and culture across Canada, as well the National Elevate Women Advisory Council, an initiative to inspire and empower women locally and globally with the purpose to advance women’s leadership and economic empowerment.
A proud member of the Board of UNICEF Canada, Bita is also a member of UNICEF Canada’s 25 Team, a National Women’s Giving Circle, a community of female leaders from across Canada who mobilize their resources and network raising funds and awareness for MNCH, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health issues. She is Founder and Chair of the Friends of Unicef/ Amis d’Unicef based in Montreal.
Bita is a member of the board of directors of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation and co-chairs the Peace of Mind Campaign raising awareness and funds, changing the face of mental health , benefiting the Psychiatry Department of the hospital.
Her international experience includes participation in the United Nation’s Millennium Goal Project 2005, Women of the World Summit 2014, UNHCR Syrian Refugee Summit 2014, and Women’s International Forum 2016.
Bita C. Razeghi-Cattelan holds a B. Eng in Civil Engineering from McGill University and the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
